About this role

As our General Foreman, you’ll act as the right hand to our Superintendent, overseeing all field and site-specific construction activities. You’ll manage the budget, schedule, performance, and profitability of commercial construction projects while leading and inspiring the Chandos crew on-site. Effective communication is essential as you collaborate closely with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and other field staff. You will also run your own smaller-scale jobs, giving you ownership, autonomy, and hands-on experience. As part of our long-term talent development approach, you will receive structured training and mentorship from our Construction Management team, preparing you to grow into a Superintendent role in the coming years. Your Duties Include: Assisting the Superintendent in providing leadership and direction for project activities Helping to identify and generate requests for information Planning, organizing, and managing all site construction manpower and materials Completing required documentation, such as logbooks, safety records, and timesheets Monitoring productivities throughout the project life cycle and making necessary corrections Managing subcontractor relationships to maintain timelines and scope of work Promoting sustainable construction practices and minimizing environmental impact. Journeyman Status with Red Seal Commercial Tenant Improvement or Concrete Formwork experience is considered an asset 3+ years of experience in construction management or a related field NCSO is considered an asset Strong knowledge of fire‑rating systems Able and willing to work off hours and night shift As the last step in the recruitment process, selected candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment physical testing screen to assess their ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
